They did serve pancakes French toast, and waffles along with eggs bacon and sausage. The food was more of a “continental style breakfast”, cereals, toast and bagels. Overall the food here is the best out of the other restaurants.Ĭampfire kitchen: this is only open for breakfast and is a buffet style restaurant.

The loaded Mac and cheese my son ordered was made wrong so we had another one made as well. The places I’m reviewing are the places we experienced while at great wolf lodgeīarnwood: the salmon my wife ordered was salty and we asked the waiter for another and he gratefully got us a new plate in which was a bit still salty. In May 2021, the plan for the location was approved by planning inspectors, and construction work commenced in 2022, with an intended opening date scheduled for 2024.First time visiting and I must say that GWL needs to improve in the food services, staff customer service, and hours of operation for the restaurants. While the proposal was initially met with resistance, causing the local council to reject the plans in March 2020, an appeal submitted in October of that year was approved, restarting the proposal for the project. In 2019, Great Wolf Resorts announced its intention to expand to the British and European markets with a location proposed for construction in Bicester, Oxfordshire in England. The company continues to have interests in expansion to other places both in the US and worldwide. Some locations remained closed until the following year. In early 2020, the company had to temporarily close all locations due to the COVID-19 pandemic but later on in the year started reopening with restrictions put into effect including the use of masks (besides the waterpark) and social distancing. In September 2019, another firm by the name of Blackstone Group agreed to purchase a 65% controlling interest in a joint venture worth $2.9 billion between them and Centerbridge to own the company. Since this acquisition, many new locations have been built, primarily on the west coast of the United States.
In March 2015, Centerbridge Partners acquired Great Wolf Resorts from Apollo for $1.35 billion. Under Centerbridge and Blackstone (2015-Present) During this time, a single new resort was opened, Fitchburg, MA. As a result of this acquisition, Great Wolf Resorts became a privately traded company. This was the result of Great Wolf's financial problems as a publicly traded company as they weren't able to turn a profit since the formation of the company in 2004. In March of 2012, Apollo Global Management acquired Great Wolf Resorts for $703 million.
